Welcome to Leonida: Home of Vice City
Grand Theft Auto VI takes you to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond. Following the monumental success of GTA 5, this next chapter promises to be Rockstar's most ambitious project yet, setting new standards for open-world gaming.
The Return to Vice City
Set in the fictional state of Leonida, GTA VI brings players back to the iconic Vice City, a vibrant metropolis inspired by Miami. From sun-drenched beaches and luxury high-rises to gritty neighborhoods and swampy outskirts, the varied locations will provide countless opportunities for adventure and mayhem. This reimagined Vice City is expected to be the most detailed, dynamic setting in Rockstar's history.
Dual Protagonists: Lucia and Jason
For the first time since GTA V, the game will feature multiple protagonists, with players experiencing the story through both Lucia and Jason. Their intertwined narrative appears to draw inspiration from notorious crime couples, promising a compelling story of loyalty, betrayal, and survival in the criminal underworld. Lucia represents another milestone as the series' first female protagonist in a mainline GTA title.
Coming Fall 2025
Officially announced for release in Fall 2025, GTA VI will initially launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version expected to follow later. Nearly a decade after GTA V's release, expectations are at an all-time high for what is likely to be one of the most significant gaming releases of all time.
